چکیده

A spectrum of mitral valve disease was noted in 71 per cent of 163 specimens with transposition of the great arteries. At one end of the spectrum were hearts with normal mitral valve, except that the free margin of the anterior leaflet was shortened; at the other end were specimens with underdevelopment of the space between or behind the papillary muscles of the left ventricle. In additional specimens the anterior leaflet was indented and attached by chordae tendineae to the ventricular septum.

Ebstein's anomaly of the left atrioventricular valve with congenital corrected transposition of the great arteries. Diagnosis by intracavitary electrocardiography.

We present the findings in a 13-month-old infant with angiographically confirmed congenital corrected transposition of the great arteries and insufficiency of the left atrioventricular valve. Simultaneous intracavitary electrocardiographic and pressure recordings across the left atrioventricular valve were similar to those obtained in Ebsteins' anomaly and suggested Ebstein's disease of the lef...

Congenitally corrected transposition of great arteries with ischemic symptoms in middle age.

Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries CCTGA is a rare congenital disease first described by Von Rokitansky in 1875. Transposition of the great arteries comprises 2.6 - 7.8% of all cases of congenital heart disease, and if uncorrected, is commonly fatal in the first year of life. Patients with corrected transposition of the great arteries without associated defects may remai...

A 33-day-old Infant with the Transposition of the Great Arteries; A Rare Case Report

Dextro-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) is the one most common cyanotic congenital heart disease in neonates. The discordant ventriculoarterial arrangement results in parallel circulation, it so is vital to understand the management. We report a rare interesting but critical case of 33-day-old boy who developed cyanosis and had transposition of great arteries combined with interrupte...

Percutaneous tricuspid valve repair using MitraClip® for the treatment of severe tricuspid valve regurgitation in a patient with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries

In selected patients, mitral valve repair using MitraClip® (Abbott, USA) is a relatively safe and well-tolerated treatment for significant mitral regurgitation [1–3]. We describe a 56-year-old female with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (ccTGA) and dextrocardia (Fig. 1a) with recurrent episodes of heart failure caused by a combination of systemic (right) ventricular f...

Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries in an 80 year old woman.

Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (CCTGA) is a rare form of congenital heart disease characterised by atrioventricular as well as ventriculoarterial discordance. It is usually associated with a variety of severe intracardiac defects. Few patients with this abnormality survive past 50 years. An 80 year old woman was admitted to the hospital because of mild congestive hea...
